We completed the installation of a High Definition Television Studio and Master control for Benefitfocus.com on Daniel Island, South Carolina. There is no other TV studio of its kind in South Carolina. The Studio and Master control is completely High Definition…. from Cameras to Recording. The Studio consists of two cameras with robotic pedestals and Teleprompters. The cameras are Panasonic AKHC1500, 2.2 Million Pixel chipset with Canon 11x4.7 High Definition Robotic Lenses. They are mounted on Telemetrics Robotic Pedestals with full robotic control of Pan and Tilt and Pedestal Height.

In the control room, a Ross Vision Production Switcher, 16x16, was installed to facilitate production switching. Because of the work environment, the customer requested that everything in Master Control would be automated to the extent that one operator could control and operate all equipment from the Ross Switcher. To that end, everything…from cameras, pan and tilts, pedestals, server clip control, CG Control, audio control, VTR control and audio mixer can be operated from the Ross Switcher. A 16x16 routing system, Harris G3 graphics system, and various other system I/O devices with Up/Down/Cross Conversion were also installed. Complimentary Master Timing, TriLevel Sync and Test equipment was installed along with a separate camera control and shading station.
